Burn Your Bridges, Dream Jobber
Written by Michael on July 17, 2007 – 2:36 am -Today’s Motivator is this scary little tidbit, Dream Job Seeker:
Chances are that you’re holding yourself back with all sorts of escape plans. You really want to be a writer, perhaps, but you’re holding onto your day job at the bank.
Or, you want to run charter fishing trips off the southwest coast of Florida, but you’re holding onto the teaching job until it gets going.
Well, lemme tell ya something right here and now — there’s someone out there right now who needs to read those words that you’re going to write, and there’s a whole bunch of people that only you can help out fishing, cause you know the best places of all.
There’s a huge source of energy that moves when you move.
Jump off the bridge.
Or, burn it.

There are all kinds of reasons (excuses) that we tell ourselves about why we can’t do something. So, instead of talking ourselves into our dreams, we talk ourselves out of them. One day, in the not-too-distant future, we may wake up and find it’s too late. Don’t die with regrets or as someone else said, with the music still inside of you.
The world really needs your gifts.

Just the words I needed to hear as I catch myself again trying to conform and convince myself when I just don’t like it.

Thank you so much!!! Sometimes things just come at the best time, and the best time is now. Thanks again

Jumping off the bridge or burning it does force you to succeed. Like you said if you have no escape plan, what choice do you have except success?

Your quick comments were quite inspiring. I have thought about writing for years. Last week I lost my job and have been working hard to find another. But you may have just inspired me to a very different direction.
Thanks

Gawsh! Just jump don’t burn your bridges. You never know when you might need a bridge back or a bridge to cross over. Moral; don’t burn when you can save for later.
