30-in-30 — Rosengren Experiment Off and Running

Curt Rosengren, over at The M.A.P Maker — Crafting a Life of Meaning, Abundance, and Passion, is doing something really interesting.

Feeling a bit hidden away as a solo, self-employed kind of guy, Curt was looking for a way to add a little creativity and change to his day-to-day life, so he set out to make contact and have a conversation (as in real conversation, over the telephone) with one person a day for 30 consecutive days — thus the 30-in-30 moniker.  Essentially, he wanted to talk to people that he’d only gotten to know via email, blogs, or websites.

He has set no specific direction and agenda for each conversation.  Rather, Curt’s looking to stimulate his own brain and that of the other person he’s speaking with.

And, I was fortunate enough to be included in one or Curt’s initial conversations.  I can’t vouch for how Curt felt, but I came away excited and more motivated about doing some things with my own life after my call with Curt.  It’s funny, isn’t it?  Just being around positive, energetic people give you a boost — and that’s what my call with Curt did for me.

Here’s what Curt has to say about his experiment:

Maybe an idea will come out of one of the conversations that someone will implement and make a positive impact. Maybe a door will open to collaboration and synergy for a result that would never have existed otherwise. Perhaps someone will be energized and inspired at just the right time to propel them to the next level. Or a relationship might begin that blooms in an important way ten years down the road.

It all starts with that personal connection.

Really good stuff that Rosengren is up to here, Dream Jobbers.

I salute you, Curt, and urge all dream-job seekers to check ‘er out.
